Bio
Dr. Christopher Baloga has been a physician and surgeon for over 20 years. Originally from
Wyoming Valley, Pennsylvania, Dr. Baloga earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology,
summa cum laude, from Wilkes University. He obtained his medical degree from the
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), graduating with high honors. Following
medical school, Dr. Baloga completed his internship at The Wright Center in Kingston,
Pennsylvania. He went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at PCOM, where he trained
under leading ocular surgeons at the world-renowned Wills Eye Hospital and Lankenau Medical
Center.
Dr. Baloga enhanced his skills through fellowship training in oculoplastic surgery and served as
a staff surgeon at Penn Medicine Physicians’ Surgery Center and UPMC Susquehanna Valley
Surgery Center. He specializes in oculoplastic surgery and comprehensive ophthalmology and
has extensive experience in managing ocular diseases, including glaucoma and diabetic
retinopathy. Dr. Baloga believes that maintaining vision is crucial for a healthy lifestyle, and
recommends annual eye exams as an essential preventative measure. Early detection of vision
changes significantly increases the potential for successful treatment and helps prevent
permanent vision loss.
