Dr. Ketan Laud earned his medical degree and completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College. He further refined his expertise through two prestigious fellowships in Retina/Vitreous Surgery at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine and Columbia University/VRMNY, where he was mentored by renowned leaders in the field, Drs. Stanley Chang and Lawrence Yannuzzi.
With over a decade of experience, Dr. Laud is dedicated to serving patients both locally on Long Island and out of state. He provides an individualized treatment approach, collaborating closely with his patients to achieve optimal visual outcomes in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Dr. Laud is passionate about offering the most innovative therapies to his patients. He regularly serves as a principal investigator for national clinical trials and has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles. This involvement allows his patients access to cutting-edge treatments and a higher level of expertise in their application.
As a faculty member in the Department of Ophthalmology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Laud trains residents and fellows. He also serves as an educator and lecturer at regional, national, and international retinal meetings, sharing his insights on emerging therapies and research trials.
