Bio
Dr. Paula W. Feng is a fellowship-trained cornea specialist. She attended medical school at Yale School of Medicine where she graduated cum laude (highest academic honors) and remained at Yale for her residency in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. Subsequently, she completed her fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, which has received the distinction as the as the #1 eye hospital in the United States for over 20 years by US World and News Report. She attended as a fellow of the Heed Ophthalmic Society, one of the most prestigious national awards available for graduating ophthalmology residents. Dr. Feng is a well-respected Ophthalmic surgeon and is the Medical Director of both SightMD Connecticut and Laser Vision Surgery Center.
Dr. Feng specializes in the management of cataracts and corneal disease, including corneal transplantation and a variety of diseases involving the surface of the eye, cornea, conjunctiva and sclera, such as ocular surface squamous neoplasia, corneal dystrophies, keratoconus, and infectious and inflammatory diseases of the cornea and sclera. In addition, she performs refractive surgery procedures such as laser-assisted in-situ keratomileusis (LASIK), photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) and implantable collamer lenses (ICL). Her advanced training in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery at preeminent ophthalmology and medical institutions enables her to provide cutting-edge treatment for both routine and challenging cases as well as excellent surgical outcomes.
